I work as a receptionist in a hotel. Do you think it looks bad in the middle of the night if I have my shoes?
I work in an office near the reception, my main job is the books, but I have to drive guests can check in or out. During the winter, I sometimes remove my boots. and my boss tells me that I just prefer to go to the counter of my socks, instead of a guest to wait while I slip my boots. We are largely informal and only wear pants jeans and a shirt and only has a name tag is not a uniform. I work 10 to 6 am but not to cover the desk until midnight. So I guess my question is, if you were a hotel guest who was investigating or getting towels or whatever, would you mind if the employee was in his sock feet? Thanks Randi
No, I would not mind. If I am a guest in a hotel, I usually leave the shoes in my room and walk in socks feet in the areas of the hotel. Like you, I like shoes. I would favor the hope that the work boots and socks. When you arrive at work, take the boots and just not bother with them all night.
