Tile floors and counters. Tiles in the same or different?
I want 12×12 tiles on the bathroom floor. However, on the counter (small, less of 6sqt) I do tile large or small pictures of a similar style? And for the panels, should be the same as the counter or the floor? Not so well with the design aspect. 
All the selections of tiles should coordinate, but do not have to match exactly. I like big slabs on the floor, but not in the countertops and splashes. The large tile these areas will seem out of scale. I'd go with a similar form but in a smaller size at the counter and splashing and see if you can find some accent tiles to work in the design of the spray. All you need is a band of something like natural stone, tiles glass, or textured sheet to put up a notch, and by the use of more expensive tile in moderation, not increasing their costs, but certainly increase visually appealing.
