Tall White Wood
How do I fix a small piece of drywall?
I put a small piece of poster putty direction on the wall for the pictures and wanted redecorate, so scrape off the clothes but a piece of plaster came with it. The rest of the wall is fine, except a small inch of width and height of the white tile missing. Behind the plaster is what appears to be wood. What should I do to fix this just a small piece without having to redo the whole wall?
Greenwood, I've never heard of putty. However, I did a search on Google and a Wikipedia entry defines it as a paste to fill holes in plaster and wood. Spackle apparently was the original product and putty is now a generic name for these products in the U.S.. In the United Kingdom have a product called Pollyfilla. Personally, I no longer use products Pollyfilla type. This is because they shrink when they dry. Now I use a cast-mixed. In my shop that if you find yourself with the products of construction, while POLYFILLA meets decoration products. For small holes that are applied with a stainless steel spatula is in the decorating department of my local DIY store. How is stainless steel, the product does not stick to it an instrument of stainless steel so as not. Plaster mixed with a spatula and I get a nice smooth finish that does not need sanding. Hope this helps.
