What if my baby is constipated?

My baby is one week old. She is formula fed and has been on Enfamil w LIPIL / iron in the hospital. Pre-mixed in the hospital then the dust at home. She has been having trouble using the bathroom, and is having hard stools. Than I know that is not normal for a newborn. my first thought was that the iron content formula because of its small body and to change. So thats exactly what I did. She is now on Enfamil Gentel .. for infants with irritability and gas. shes been in about 1 day and a half. Less fussy, but still have problems toileting. the other formula can not be fully passed through its system yet so i cannot tell if the new formula other really working for her. Is there something I can do to help her go to the bathroom?

my doctor told me to give my son who was at the time of 3 weeks of age (4 weeks now) 1 / 2 teaspoon magnitude of milk in the bottle, which worked out great, he was allowed to go and sofened his stool. You may have to make a couple of days until it is regulated. Ask your doc though to make sure that you want to do this., A lot of PPL will tell suryp karo …. it didn't work for me. I tried it on their bottles but i didn't taste pure sugar like that. Good luck!
