When the temperature of the ocean or the sea does not change the taste of fish change?
I live in an area where we live large variations in sea temperature, for winter is very cold and summer is very hot. The sea temperature becomes like a bathtub, and most of the fish seem to leave. But we have some catch grouper. I wonder if in summer when the water is hot makes the fish taste more fish? Could this be a reason most of the fish caught commercially obtained from colder waters and tropical seas not?
It is not so much that they taste fishy fishies or less depending on the temperature of water. The big fish are farther into the ocean, because there is more space, commercial fishermen to try to get the bigger fish. The fish smaller in shallower water will be warmer, and they do not need much space and can avoid predators / larger fish there. Moreover, some fish can not live under certain conditions (temperature), so go when heated to avoid death. The most likely simply can withstand a higher temperature the other fish.
