Drilling 1 1 / 2 inch hole 1 3 / 8 hole needed?
I am installing 3 / 4 inch granite countertop on top of a 3-wood / 4 inches. The white faucet requires 1 3 / 8 diameter hole. Manufacturer wants to drill 1 1 / 2 inch, because he said it is standard. Would it be acceptable if hole is 1 / 8 inch larger than you need? Furthermore, it will connect the key to the granite, not plywood.
1-3/8 "is what I always I thought that was the norm. You may not pass with the key he has, but there is a small possibility that it might be a problem if you ever replace it w / something else. I am a fanatic about the details – which are these little things that bite back. It's probably a matter of buying a hole saw.
