The contemporary landscape architecture is characterized by a subjective determination to sculpt the landscape in the spaces that reflect the experience of human life. It develops these spaces with respect to nature, and somehow or another always working to create a relationship between architecture and the contemporary landscape. Landscape architecture contemporary can be used both to unify the architecture and surrounding landscape, or can be used to starkly contrast the differences between the two. The exact nature of the relationship is always determined by the project itself, its location, and type of environment you are working in Because flows along design lines contemporary in general, and due to its highly subjective nature, contemporary landscape architecture can be found in almost any situation where the experience of life itself is used to create shapes and outdoor structures.
When it comes to display a clear differentiation between contemporary landscape architecture and more traditional forms of landscaping, that of infrastructure. Facilities such as libraries, hospitals, corporate universities, civic centers, academic institutions, and sports stadiums, creating a characteristic of human experience from the experience of urban life. Open spaces that are not technically within these buildings are then developed in environments expected to improve the quality of human life through the manipulation of natural forms and outdoor spaces. Landscape seeks to emphasize traditional and sculpting the beauty of the nature of the effects of human appreciation. This is based on the belief that nature itself provides a certain spiritual, emotional or aesthetic sense of life itself. The contemporary landscape architecture, on the other hand, is much more existential and tries to create the only forms that are based on a function practice dedicated to improving the quality of life.
This is not the first time such a mindset has taken hold of a society. The idea of reflecting the human experience in ways calendar dates back to Roman Empire, where the civil engineering and outdoor projects are used to build an infrastructure that linked the Mediterranean coast in an entity unique cultural. Wherever the Romans was, they built their fields, auditoriums, gymnasiums, aqueducts, roads, and temples as reflections of themselves. Even in rural areas of Spain and Gaul, gardens agricultural regions in Roman-style villas and estates for the vanquished remember that man was the master of nature, and that Rome was the master of all men. Lovers of pure nature, (then and now) that this concept distasteful, preferring instead tend to gravitate towards more aesthetic landscape design, whose shapes are moods instead of the functions that serve humanity. Hence we see very little contemporary landscape architecture around private homes, but an almost universal adherence to its utilitarian principles, in any public place where civil engineers and planners have decided integrate the natural world in human life itself, allowing people to experience the unique landscape in human terms. Movement across the landscape is encouraged as much as possible. Clean lines in the gardens and low-growing trees to help make the landscape more than what we might call an experience level of the eyes of loved humans that makes them feel comfortable and secure when walking through open areas such as plazas, parks and streets.
Because of the need to bring contemporary architecture to unity with the same landscape, the variety of species in plantations is often replaced with geometry as a means of reflecting on the structural characteristics of buildings. In contrast only a floor material and some trees growing along the lines of the hard bed linear and geometric designs, the landscape architect contemporary may have a unique open space and convert it into many blocks of form and space, intertwined, like a building that contains the halls and rooms with lines specific movement and the specific functions and unique experiences therein.
