Improperly installed toilet paper – bolt holes a big hole now, how can I fix it?
We had a loose arm with our headline toilet paper since we moved in. I finally got to watch and saw that the dry wall was "spongy". I removed the arm and then the arm connector plate attached to the dry wall with 3 screws. The middle screw held in place by a nylon Wall borer. The other 2 screws are held in place by plastic anchors, both in very poor condition. The person that installed it did a poor job. The resealable plastic anchor is placed too close to the nylon wall driller. The wall Dry between the two … so it is "spongy". Thus, the arm can not be stable. Not enough dry wall screw back board connector as punch the plastic wall anchors will not anymore. Should I try to fill holes in dry wall and then use screws to change? Or should try to use the screws without filling the holes? I really dont know how to fix it. There is no stud where the holes are.
You can patch the holes and then reinstall the starter. I would do one or two inches taller this time for what is not working on the repaired area.
