Green Leaf Bathroom
I've lost the lives of my orchids?
I have an orchid in my bathroom on a shelf. There because I still feel the humidity of the shower gives you the moisture it needs. It bloomed a month ago. The flowers have fallen and one of the leaves have turned brown. The mother of the flowers were also brown. There are 2 nice, green leaves left. Have I lost this orchid is still alive. What should I do?
If you have been growing orchids correctly (irrigation, fertilization, adequate sunlight, etc.) and the plant is not affected by pests and fungi, darkening of the leaf and stem of the flower or spike is normal. Over time, the leaves change color and do so do the peaks especially after all the flowers have faded. Examine the defoliation, the leaves turn yellow from the tip first and can not be removed easily from the plant. Washout diseased plants at the base of the blade that attach to the main stem of the plant and can easily be extracted from the plant. In which case perhaps the plant infected by a fungus. Apply fungicides generously (but careful), retain the fertilization and reduce irrigation.
