My point is twisting towel why?

My towel is starting to take the first line after the string, I'm pretty sure the tension is too tight, I've redone a few times and now every time I start twisting! Will it straighten up after a couple of rows? Any advice on what I might be doing wrong will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Chain probably crooked as they were doing the first row. I spent this many times. In general, if I'm doing a general pattern, it works itself and lay flat after a couple of rows. For smaller patterns (in under one foot), usually have to start over.
