What type of bath towel bar (etc) does not tarnish?
I want to replace the current bar hand towel and toilet tissue holder my bathroom, but I DO NOT want to get something that while it may look great in the store, later will require special polish to keep it looking nice. What kind of material will be low maintenance and durable? Chrome tends to flake and chip, so I prefer not to. china would probably be good, but I've only seen combos nickel porcelain, and I worry that nickel can tarnish. Does it? Wood does not seem the best choice for a damp bathroom. In addition to not appeal to me aesthetically. Stainless steel would be great, but I've never seen the towel and toilet paper holders in stainless steel only. I looked at Lowe's and Home Depot. Any suggestions where to buy some good stuff? Thanks for your suggestions and information! I appreciate it!
We of stainless steel in the bathroom to our children. We are having problems with the bars in our bathroom peeling, are a kind of Alluminum with a brass finish who were here when we bought the house. We are updating our plans and do the same. Stainless steel has remained small children to get water in them and wet bath mats hung out to dry. I would go with the porcelain in the bathroom of children, but I am worried because the man splintered handle. Good luck!
