How big is the original block of granite is a need for eight foot counter? Are cut in one piece?
I'm curious if cut into one piece of a granite boulder or are somehow come together to form the large amount of custom bar lengths and shapes. Any bidders?
The granite is cut and not rebuilt like it or not. They try to get as much of a straight run from a single slab – but that depends on the size of the piece of granite that you choose. Sometimes you have to be "couture" to make it long enough – and, of course, if it needs to form a right angle, then usually welded at the corner (unless it is a small vanity or bar counter that can be cut from a slab).
