What should I take to a bedroom. What are some things really useful?

I start as a freshman this fall in a private school and social classes during the weekend. my dad wants to start collecting things for next August when i move in etc. My school gave me a small list of things … everything you can think about adding let me know! Information room (two of the following is a room double) beds, cabinets, towel racks, bulletin boards, dressers, desks, chairs, desk lamps and also includes: the window shades, lighting wall mirror, voice mail and Internet / cable access room is 16 '(L) x 11'6 "(W) What were the most useful things for you when you were in college?

I know the chairs are in my school are very uncomfortable, so you may want to bring your own. I also have a TV, small refrigerator and microwave. The blankets are good if you have tile floors. Some people get carpet and cut to fit around the floor so they do not slide around. I have a small sofa in my room, and that really helps. You may want to look into getting a loft bed so you can put under your desk. This will give more space in your room. Sandals For other small things that can not think for showers. Shower caddy to carry your stuff to the shower. Posters Bathrobe / photos to decorate the walls laptop and printer (printer / scanner is even better, I would have one but luckily my roommate does.) A white board to put outside the door so that people can write to it when you're not there an air freshener (clear like plug-in). kitchen tools (do not know if you'll have a kitchen available, but we do and have a baking tray, cake pan, muffin and bread, along with a small boat. They have bowls, cups, plates and cutlery. These things are useful if the food is not that great.) School supplies to help some more than others to look into getting the folders that are flexible as laptops, but can move pages around. They take up less space on your desk taking notes. Highlighters! That will make a lot of reading. Post-it. They are great for reminders and communication with the roommate if they are not there.
