What does the Texas Plumbing Code or UPC say about overflow prevention in bathroom sinks?
Does anyone Whether this is acceptable in the state of Texas (Houston to be specific) or as part of the plumbing code of the UPC do not have in preventing overflow sinks bathroom vanity? Or, does anyone know where I can find the code book to refer to this issue. My sinks of the bathroom vanity has no overflow prevention. If you turn the faucet and connect the drainage, which will overflow. The Powder Room has 3 pedestal sink small houses inside of the cup on the lip of the sink Fornt where if the water level reaches, to drain the sink drain. The master bath and another with a crop sink vanity cabinet marble top do not have these. I'm trying to understand if this is acceptable, i have googled everything imaginable. TIA.
I notice that the holes are no longer sinks overflow. I have to assume that the overflow was never in the code. I have not seen addressed. New vessel sinks that are becoming popular are one example. I've never seen a kitchen sink overflows with anyone.
