How can I hang a wooden chest in my bathroom above the toilet? (ie, screws? anchors cast?)?
I home improvement illiterate, but really need detailed instructions on how to hang the 23''de width, height cabinet 28''del on the wall. Probably about 15 pounds (estimate) without filled, probably about 25 pounds full (another rough estimate). Thanks!
You need a stud sensor, which cost $ 10 at the center of origin. You also need screws that are 13 / 4 inches longer than needed to get the support although higher in the upper interior of the cabinet, this is usually a screw 21/2inch because the support is generally 3/4inches thick. Using the sensor stud, find the center of two studs behind where you want to mount the cabinet. Measure the wall of the SID to the center of the uprights. Have someone hold the cabinet to where you want to mount and measure and mark the wall support in higher amounts where it will arrive. Mark the wall with a pencil on the outside of the cabinet to install the cabinet is the same place you had when you checked. Make two holes though the top back support, where the marks are and conclusion of the cabinet until the next mark, the unit two 21 / 2 inch screws. It is possible that if you use very long screws that could reach the wiring and piping on the wall.
