How do people feel about living in Tokyo?
I have heard from one of my friends in the Tokyo region mention he’s living in a studio nearly the size of my bathroom right now. With just that much room, it feels like living in a bird cage man. Can people really deal with that in Tokyo? Personally I feel I would be doomed if I ever go to Japan, because I’m used to the American standard of housing here.
what do you people think?
pendragon09,
how much does it cost to get a studio like urs in Tokyo?
I love my apartment here. I prefer it to North American Housing.
It’s probably just me, but I prefer to have not as much space to live in. There’s less stuff to manage and clean. Plus you don’t have to worry about entertaining because if you have a party, you just have it at a bar or restaurant.
When I have friends visit from the States and Canada, at first they’re shocked at my one bedroom apartment. Ususally by the time they leave though they’re used to it. A lot of them Email me too after they return home expressing how amazed they are at how much space North Americans take up in their housing, a lot of it wasted.
So if you ask me what I think, I prefer it over a ridiculously huge living space in the States.
Take a look….
Peace.
