How can I find a copper bar that goes through a door business that allows customers to drive in it?
I am looking for a solid copper bar that hangs horizontally (to be seen as a kind of towel rack) in the center of a box with glass door. It would attach to timber frame and allow customers to push or pull the door open. We are restoring a building and are trying to maintain the charm of the building, so the door insertion of glass. However, we want people to push on the glass. Where can I find one of these bars? I've looked everywhere. Thanks! If I knew what he was called to help as well.
It is called a crash bar. Go to your local building company offering commercial and can order one for you. In my area that would go to a place called tenants Wood (Toledo, OH). In your area looking for builders place to go. It is usually hollow steel tube and only covered with brass for strength.
