Electrical challenge for you .. Where can I find a roof 5Amp throw switch with an indicator on it?
I have an electric towel rail in our bathroom and is operated by a switch of a .. The problem is that sometimes we forget if we switched off or not and the only way to tell is by pulling the rope and back in 20 minutes and see if it is heated or cooled .. complete is not practical! We can not find a switch with an indicator 5Amp shoot anywhere .. we find that you have 45amp for electric showers, but will not work! So who can never find me 5Amp one can have 10 points .. (UK) Thanks for looking! JG .. we tried the 45 amp one and doesn't work .. and talked to an electrician and says it can not not think about where to get a 5Amp one with an indicator .. Thanks JG .. perhaps I have another word .. Hmm … I'm a little confused now!
First, do you have any neutral (s) in this switch of a? The indicator does not work in these switches unless you have a neutral at the switch too (for the next "live" to flow). The neon is connected through O & neutral http://www.allaboutelectrics.co.uk/doc/12/vid/1555/CRABTREE_16A_CEILING_PULL_SWITCH.html live … cable is an iron towel rack? Could you replace it with one with a neon indicator? http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/GU5004.html
